Nokia 6280 - An Ace 3G Player

NOkia Windows Mobile Phone
The type of 3G saw the introduction of many devices in the mobile market. But not many made it to the list of hits. Nokia tries to stand tall amongst its competitors, with its new Nokia 6280, and yes it indeed makes an impressive statement. And as many observe it is the best 3G phone available in the market.

Aesthetically Nokia 6280 does a good job. It comes in a classy combination of black and silver, with chrome 5 way navigational pad disturbing the look, in quite a complimentary way. While the handset comes as a little chunky device, it still fits perfectly into the hands. Perhaps the only problem is its slider. The slider is not that sturdy, and the top half does not sit that peacefully, regularly jiggling from side to side. The controls and keypad are kept plain and simple, and they gel well with the overall make of the handset. Conveniently, there is a volume control on the right hand side of the unit and a PTT (Push To Talk) button on the other. While a dedicated camera button ensures that clicking your favourite moments are not missed.

The vivid and bright display (320 x 240) of Nokia 6280 is a real treat to the eyes. And the experience gets further accentuated when combined with its 2 Megapixels camera. The new Series 40 user interface also gets the best out of this display. The animated logos come out bright and more lively, making navigation interesting and exciting.

But the 2 MP camera also comes with few flaws. For some reason the pictures come out highly pixelated, and the flash is also not that great. But the camera offers many image setting mode like Grayscale, Sepia and Negative effects. So far video recording is concerned, again the quality is not that good (as is the performance of any contemporary video camera).

Surprisingly, the Nokia 6280 comes with a good music player. The player is compatible with Mp3 and AAC files, and also gives options to customize the tracks. Unfortunately, the Nokia 6280 does not allow you to use a standard set of headphones, and the stock earbuds are uncomfortable to use.

Another commendable part of Nokia 6280 is its miniSD card in the package. This provides enough room for storage of all those extra pictures, short videos and music files.
